Delivery and returns

We ship on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Two days when somebody packs, instead of a little every day. Anything in stock goes on the next shipping day; run 07 goes from 3 November.

Run 07 delivery
from 3 November

Between 20 October and 3 November we only sew and do not ship; anything in stock goes out after the run has been delivered. That appears in the basket before you order.

Sample hours

Whether the doors are open right now is something this demo deliberately does not claim — only the finished website can, with the real hours of Greywick Atelier.

Shipping, returns, repairs

Shipping within the US

Tuesdays and Fridays, delivered in one to three working days. Packed in paper and card, no plastic, no inserts, no loyalty card.

$5.90, free above $150

International shipping

Same days, delivered in three to six working days. International orders ship against payment in advance only; duty and import tax are payable on receipt.

$14.90

Collection at the workshop

Thursdays 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Try it, swap it, take it away — the one route where a return never has to happen at all.

no charge

Repairs and take-back

Reseaming, a new zip, a new base. We pay for the first two years. Worn-out pieces come back to us, get taken apart, and the fittings go into the next run — no credit, but no conditions either.

from $25, free for two years

Returns and what is excluded

Anything unworn and in its original packaging comes back within 30 days, no reason needed. The window starts on the day the goods reach you — with a pre-order that means November, not September. An email or a letter is enough; the return form comes with every confirmation.

We pay the cost of the return. That is a decision, not an obligation: the law lets us pass it on to you as long as we say so in advance. We do not, because a jacket you have to try on would otherwise be a bet.

Excluded from returns is anything made to your specification or clearly personalized: an embossed monogram, an altered strap length, a special color. The note appears on the add-on, in the cart and in the order summary — three times, because that is the point where an argument would otherwise start.

Canceling for late delivery is a different thing from returning: if delivery slips by more than two weeks you may end the contract and get the deposit back in full. That holds for pieces with a monogram too, because the reason then lies with us.

This page describes how we work and is not legal advice. The policy wording belongs in front of an attorney once; the website provides the places where it appears.

Questions about delivery and returns

How quickly do refunds arrive?

Once the return reaches us, usually the same day and within three business days at worst. It goes back the way you paid, including the original delivery charge — that comes back too when the whole order goes back.

I have used the bag for three years and the base has gone.

Post it in or bring it round on a Thursday. A new base costs $80, takes two to three weeks, and you get the same bag back rather than a new one. If we no longer have the cloth we use the nearest we do have, and we tell you first.

What happens to pieces you take back?

They get taken apart. Fittings and zips go into the next run, offcuts become inside pockets, the rest becomes rags. There is no credit for it — anyone expecting one should sell the piece on instead, it has years left.

Is there an invoice or an insert in the parcel?

The invoice comes by email; the parcel holds only the parts list. No loyalty card, no catalog, no sticker. We have nothing further to sell you that you have not already seen.

Can I give a piece as a present and swap the size later?

Yes. For purchases in November we extend the return window to 15 January so a present does not fail on a deadline. That is longer than our usual 30 days, not a different policy.

Rear building, second courtyard, the bell with no name on it. Open Thursdays 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM; the rest of the week we are sewing and do not answer. Five minutes on foot from the bus stop on the main road.

On the finished website, tapping the map opens the visitor's own maps app. This demo deliberately loads nothing from third parties.
